My intention, while working with you, is to give you the awareness that this is a process. The whole planning from the first day you say "Yes" till your wedding day is a process of getting to know each other and how you work together to solve problems and how you compromise for the greater good of the whole relationship.
Your wedding day may be your focus, but your cooperation and building your relationship during this planning stage sets the tone for all your problem solving skills throughout your marriage. Pay attention! Are you working together?
Making your day special and tailored just for you is what I focus on. I work with you. Putting your signature on your day by bringing the things that reflect both of your personalities is what I encourage.
I tell couples, "It's your day, not mine!" I say this to moms too! "It's their day! You had your turn." I am working for you not the one who is paying for your day.
Now many of you are paying for your own day and I recognize this. If you have an unlimited budget, then go for it. If you have to get creative on how you spend your money, then I have many suggestions!
You do not have to go into debt for one day of celebration! You can still have an intimate and elegant affair and I can show you how.
Remember, no matter how much you spend, you will still have the end result - you shared with those closest to you your love for each other and you have begun a new life with a deep commitment to each other.
To me, this is a Sacred Day of Vows to love and respect one another and it is not just a big party. Choosing your guest list is very important. It is not a contest to see how many you can invite. It is not a show. Inviting the people who really care about you and will be supportive of you is important. Will they be there for you ten years from now?
I keep the number of weddings I do to a slower pace so that I will have time to sit down and talk to you every step of the way. I will give you the individual attention that you need and walk you through each phase of your planning.
